Common Questions

  • Life in Depth Counseling primarily offers virtual therapy. We believe online therapy can provide the intimacy of an in-person session, with the convenience and comfort in your home or office.

  • Life in Depth Counseling works with some insurance providers and also as an out-of-network provider for all others. Let us know who your provider is and we will let you know the best path forward.

  • The standard 50-minute therapy session costs $175.

The Initial 100-minute session costs $290 (discounted from $350).

We offer the discounted rate for the initial session to encourage our clients to jumpstart their emotional work. Most clients are pleased to be able to complete their full personal history and still have time to process what has recently brought them into therapy.

  • There is no way to know upfront exactly how long therapy will take as every person is unique, and emotions have their own timetable. This will be something you will review with your therapist as you move through your work. Our commitment is too move clients through the process as safely as we can, as efficiently as we can.

  • Go ahead to the contacts page and send a message with your interest. Typically we recommend a free 20-minute consult to talk specifically about what has been going on and establish if we’re the right match to do the work you’re looking to do.

From there, we will book your initial session. We recommend the 100-minute intake assessment which provides enough time to review personal and family history and begin talking about your current needs.

  • There are 2 platforms that we use, TherapyNotes and Doxy.me. Both of these are HIPAA compliant.

In addition, the email that we use is 256-bit HIPAA compliant. Security and confidentiality is a core tenet of Life in Depth Counseling.
